Scientists have figured out what makes Indian food so delicious

But is this all that makes the Indian food so appealing and novel? Scientists have come to a conclusion that there is a lot more in the bag of Indian cuisines. When talking scientifically holding a microscope in our hand, we will notice that popular food pairings have combination of different ingredients and flavors, which when broken down into molecular parts would yield distinct taste.

Usually, compounds are given the name of acetal, and when we talk about Indian food there are no less than 50 flavor compounds in each food ingredient. Awestruck, right?
This is the reason why popular restaurant’s chefs prepare dishes with ingredients that have overlapping flavors. However, it is not same with the all dishes, but yes majority of the dishes do adhere to these rule.
Besides the scientists in U.S., the researchers at the Indian Institute for Technology in Jodhpur also did an experiment with the popular dishes of the site called TarlaDalal.com. The dish were broken down into various ingredients and a conclusion was made that heavily ingredients are used in preparing the dish which shares flavor compounds and made the dish scrumptious.
Not able to get a clear idea? Not to worry! Here is an example shared with you by the researchers. Take a coconut and onion. There is no doubt about the fact that these two are entirely different in taste. But can you image that these two overlap their flavor? Yes! Indeed it does!
So, the study has proven that ingredients used in Indian dishes provide a unique flavor because it comprise of different compounds, which when mixed makes the dish scrumptious.
